Viajevo (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

• Account data — email address, name, and optional profile photo when you sign up.
• Trip data — trip names, destinations, dates, messages, expenses, itineraries, and packing lists you create.
• Usage data — pages visited, features used, error logs (no personal content is logged).
• Payment data — Stripe handles all card data. We only store your subscription status and Stripe customer/subscription IDs.
• Push subscriptions — browser push tokens if you opt in to notifications.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and improve the Viajevo service.
• To send trip-related push notifications you have opted into.
• To process payments via Stripe.
• To respond to support requests.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

3. Data Sharing

We share data only with service providers who help us operate Viajevo:

• Supabase — database and authentication hosting (EU West).
• Vercel — serverless hosting and CDN.
• Stripe — payment processing.
• Anthropic — AI-generated itineraries (trip destination/dates only; no personal data).

4. Data Retention

Your account data is retained until you delete your account. Trip data created by you is deleted when you delete a trip. Anonymised usage logs are retained for 90 days.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion of your data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Data portability.

6. Cookies

We use only essential session cookies set by Supabase for authentication. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

7. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Database access is restricted by row-level security policies. Passwords are hashed by Supabase Auth and never stored in plain text.

8. Children’s Privacy

Viajevo is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice.
